Nebelung Knit - Downloadable Knitting Pattern

The KNIT SAFARI Nebelung Knit is a DIY knitting pattern for a mohair knit sweater with a comfortable oversized shape, perfect for lounging about in. Worked in a super-hazy, lightweight Faux-Mohair, this fluffy V neck sweater has a plunging neckline and detailing that keeps it looking modern and timeless.

The Nebelung Knit is an oversized mohair jumper worked seamlessly in the round bottom-up, after working the split side seams. The sleeves are worked seamlessly in the round (and can be knitted at the same time, if you're feeling adventurous!) and the neckline is worked at the end for a professional finish.

FIT: The Nebelung Knit has an extreme oversized slouchy fit - you may wish to knit a smaller size for a closer fit.

The model is a UK size 10 and is wearing the Nebelung Knit Sweater in size medium.

SIZES: Adults from XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL (30-60” Bust)

YARN:

778 (891, 1012, 1137, 1269, 1459, 1575, 1736, 1906) metres of a Light Fingering weight yarn with a fluffy halo, with approx 25 wraps per inch, equivalent to approximately 3 (4, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) x50g balls of yarn (yarn estimates are approximate.)

We used 4 balls of Phildar Phil Light in Souris for the size medium.

TOOLS:

• 6.5mm (US 10.5) circular knitting needles with a 100-150cm long cable, depending on the size you are making (or size needed to achieve tension)
• 2 stitch markers
• Stitch holder or waste yarn (optional)
• Yarn sewing needle
